Health Resources
There are many Health Care Clinics throughout the Salt Lake Valley where you may receive medical attention without an appointment. Clinics generally take care of minor medical problems and injuries. Clinics may have several doctors available, but you will be required to wait for the next available doctor. Major medical problems are generally not handled in Clinics; patients with major medical problems are referred to hospitals. Emergency rooms in hospitals are only for major medical problems or serious injuries.
You may prefer to go to a private physician, who then would be your first contact for any medical problem. You can check The University of Utah School of Medicine to find a private physician. For other physicians not associated with The University, please check the phone book or conduct a search on the Internet.
University of Utah Health Care Clinics
The University of Utah's Madsen Health Center is located on campus at 555 Foothill Drive.
Please check their web site for available services.
Check University of Utah Health Care Clinics, for other clinics which are located off campus.
Off-Campus Health Care
There are many other health care clinics in the Salt Lake Valley which are not associated with The University of Utah. Please check the phone book or conduct a search on the internet for more information.
